As the videographer, I was able to jump into the conversation too, whenever I found the right spot to ask follow-up questions. Our schedule for today was pretty similar to yesterday, where we interviewed both in the morning and afternoon and held a group meeting after we got back. Because we grew more familiar with the interviewing process, we produced footage with higher quality than yesterday. I can feel a significant shift in our attitude as we approach strangers; we are not hesitant anymore, and it also feels natural. The responses from the respondents for today were different from yesterday as well. They were more enthusiastic and were willing to share details about their stories.

Interestingly, as we walked around Union Square Park this afternoon looking for interviewees, a lady approached me to ask me for a photo shoot because I had a camera. She asked how much it cost for an album of 20 photos, but I disappointed her by admitting that I am not professional. I said I'll take a picture or two for her if she'd be willing to answer a few questions. So we interviewed her (great response from this lady, by the way) in exchange for two photos. Here is one them.
